Why were we created?
Allah created jinn and mankind to worship Him alone. This first lesson begins with the Qur’anic answer, then explains what worship means so it is not reduced to rituals alone.
02Who is your Lord? — Belief in Allah
Belief in Allah is not merely acknowledging a Creator. It includes His lordship, His sole right to worship, and affirming His names and attributes as they came in revelation.
03What is worship?
Worship is broader than a set of rituals. It includes what Allah loves of inward and outward words and actions, performed sincerely for Him and in accordance with the Prophet ﷺ.
04What is Tawhid?
Tawhid is to single out Allah in what belongs uniquely to Him: His lordship, His right to worship, and His names and attributes.
05Tawhid of Lordship
This lesson focuses on Allah’s lordship: creation, ownership, provision and governance belong to Him alone.
06Tawhid of Worship
Tawhid of worship means directing every act of worship to Allah alone: prayer, supplication, sacrifice, reliance, fear, hope, love and every other act of devotion.
07Allah’s Names and Attributes
We affirm the names and attributes established in the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah in a manner befitting Allah, without distortion, denial, asking how, or likening Him to creation.
08The two testimonies and following the Messenger ﷺ
The testimony that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah requires sincere worship for Him alone. The testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah requires obeying and following him.
09The pillars of faith
Faith has clear foundations taught by the Prophet ﷺ: belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day and divine decree.
10Consolidating the foundations of belief
The final lesson gathers the foundations so the learner can see how Tawhid, worship, following the Messenger ﷺ and the pillars of faith fit together.
